"Land o' Goshen" & Nappanee

(Note to faithful followers - and others . . . Lately many of the pics on our blog come up so blurry! I need to figure out how to correct this but, meanwhile, if you click on a photo it seems to bring it into focus as well as enlarge it!)

So, we said "so long - it's been fun" to Karen and Clint in Chicago Saturday evening, and moved on out of Illinois and down into Indiana.

And on Sunday, after a restful night at Camp Walmart in LaPorte, we made our way eastward once again. As we were coming into the metropolis of Goshen, we happened upon this inviting park!
Just outside of Goshen, Indiana

We'd been itchin' to ride our bikes, and this turned out to be the perfect spot with trails and roads - and we had the place practically to ourselves! Found a deliciously cool shady spot to park the RV and off we pedaled . . .

Then Sunday night? Another great Camp Walmart sleep - in Goshen!

On Monday we were on the road again, going back to the Newmar factory in Nappanee to pick up a few more odds and ends for the RV!

It was hotter than holy heck!  We were so happy to have the hook-ups at Newmar and we ran that A/C day and night!

We had to wait a bit for some parts we'd ordered, so this was a perfect chance to get in some good scootin'! Took care of a little business there and we were ready to get on Blondie and Kiwi and GO!

Now, riding around those country lanes, I guess you know we saw acres and acres of cornfields! Are you tired of looking at pictures of cornfields and farms? Well, here are some of the other things we saw on our big scoot around . . .

Maple Lane Amish Menonite Church

Are you getting the theme here yet?
SIGNS!

Came to a place called the Old Dutch Village just as the Amish auction was winding down! We were too late to get in on the action, but sure would've loved to bid on a basket of berries, a bushel of onions or a dozen ears of corn!

We stopped here to admire the flowers (and visit)!
This little lady in blue was hoeing away in the garden - bare foot!

More corn . . .

. . . another picturesque farm scene!

 And more SIGNS !

. . . & more buggies!

Happy scooter-girl!

Oh, yeah, that was one great scooter ride.  And don't ya just love the message on this mural in their little town there?

We left Nappanee this morning and here we are tonight in Dayton, Ohio!  Harold is a major fan of Orville and Wilbur Wright, so we have some sights to see and things to do around here tomorrow.

And Paul in Lexington?  We'll see you Friday!
